This stage adaptation of Mark Twain's classic follows mischievous Tom Sawyer through adventures in a Mississippi River town: whitewashing fences, forming a pirate gang with Huck Finn, witnessing a murder, and ultimately finding courage to testify in court and save an innocent man. The play balances Tom's youthful antics with Twain's satirical humor, ending at the courtroom scene where Tom wins over both the community and Becky Thatcher's heart by doing the right thing.
