About jax.events

jax.events is a free calendar of what's happening in greater Jacksonville: Duval County and the Beaches, plus Ponte Vedra and Nocatee, and Orange Park and Fleming Island. It is built and run in Jacksonville by Elektronic Group.

Get out and explore

Jacksonville has a lot going on, and most of it is easy to miss. jax.events puts it all in one place: live music on a weeknight, a Saturday market, a festival you've never heard of. Pick something, grab a friend and go see a new corner of the city.

Plans can change, so check with the venue before you head out.

How the calendar works

We collect event details from public venue and organizer calendars and bring them into one Jacksonville calendar. We combine duplicate listings, organize events by date, category and area, and link back to the source when one is available. Some descriptions are generated from the published event details; they are summaries, not first-hand reviews.

You can compare what is coming up in the event list, find free events, open a venue for its upcoming dates, or add an event to your own calendar. Each event page gives you the organizer's information link when we have one, plus a way to report an error. We correct listings when new information comes in.

Add your event

Organizers can submit events for free. We review every submission against our content guidelines before it goes live.

Venues and organizers

If you'd like your listings changed, corrected or removed, use the “Report a problem” link on any event or contact us. We respond to takedown requests within 24 hours. Our crawler identifies itself as jax.events-bot, reads each site at most once a day and follows robots.txt; to stop it, add User-agent: jax.events-bot and Disallow: / to your robots.txt.

Advertising

The site is supported by a small number of clearly labeled ads and by referral links on some ticket buttons. Neither affects which events we list.
