Privacy policy

Last updated October 3, 2026

Elektronic Group Inc. operates jax.events, a calendar for greater Jacksonville, Florida. This policy explains our handling of information when you browse, create an account, submit an event, or contact us. You can browse without an account. For privacy questions and requests, email [email protected].

Information we collect and why

  • Account information. Your email, password hash, account identifier, optional display name and organization, confirmation and sign-in records, and security settings help us operate and protect your account. New registrations also record your age confirmation and the version and time of your terms acceptance. We do not ask for your birth date or government ID at signup.
  • Submissions. Event descriptions, dates, venue details, links, images, accessibility text, revisions and moderation records let us review and publish listings. Public-source listings may also contain organizer names and public business contact information.
  • Favorites. When you save an event, we keep that choice with your account so you can find it later. Your favorites are private and disappear when you remove them or delete your account.
  • Messages and reports. We process the contact details, message content and event reports you provide to respond, correct listings, handle rights requests and investigate abuse. Contact messages are delivered by email; they can remain in our support mailbox even though the contact form does not create a message record in the site database.
  • Technical and security information. Hosting, authentication, delivery and security systems process IP addresses, request URLs, browser/device information, timestamps and error information. Certain application audit and abuse records use salted IP hashes rather than raw IP addresses. That does not mean our infrastructure or service providers never process raw IP addresses. Hashed identifiers can still be personal information.
  • Usage information. We count outbound ticket clicks by event and day, without an account identifier in those counts. If you allow Google Analytics, Google receives information about visits and devices on public pages. We disable Google signals and ad personalization in our Analytics integration.
  • Advertising information. When advertising is enabled, Google advertising services can process cookie identifiers, device information, IP addresses and interactions to deliver, measure and protect ads, including personalized ads where separately permitted.

We use information to provide requested services, communicate about accounts and submissions, maintain security, improve the calendar, comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes. Account creation, a report or a contact message does not subscribe you to a newsletter. We do not sell tickets or collect payment-card details on this site.

What becomes public

Approved event details, venue information, descriptions, images and information deliberately included in them can be viewed, copied and indexed by others, including through our calendar feeds, widgets and search engines. Do not submit confidential information, private home addresses, children's personal information or material you lack permission to publish. Your account email is not published simply because you create an account.

Deleting an account does not automatically remove an approved listing, its flyer, or personal information written into that listing. Removal or redaction requires a separate request to [email protected] or through our contact form. Include the event page link so we can identify the listing. We review requests under applicable law. Copies already made by search engines, feed subscribers or other independent services are outside our control.

Cookies and your settings

Ads support this site and may appear without opting in to personalization. Optional Google analytics and ad personalization are off until you choose them here. Turning those off does not make the site ad-free or remove access to the calendar or your account. Choices apply to this browser for up to 180 days; clearing cookies or using another browser may require a new choice. We ask users to confirm they are 18 or older before enabling optional tools. This is a confirmation, not identity verification.

Saved choices: analytics off; personalized ads off. Ads may still appear when personalization is off.

  • Account and security cookies: first-party sb-…-auth-token cookies (sometimes split into chunks) maintain your sign-in. They are HTTP-only and use HTTPS in production; their lifetime follows the authentication session and refresh process. The jax-next cookie remembers a sign-in destination for up to one hour.
  • Preferences: theme remembers your chosen appearance for up to one year. jax-privacy remembers these choices for up to 180 days. These cookies support the settings you request.
  • Security providers: Cloudflare protects delivery and verifies form submissions through Turnstile. Depending on its security configuration, it can use cookies such as cf_clearance or similar browser storage to distinguish legitimate requests from abuse. These functions are separate from optional Google tools.
  • Analytics: when allowed, Google Analytics uses cookies such as _ga and _ga_…. Our integration requests a lifetime of 180 days without extending it on each visit. Browser limits may shorten that period.
  • Advertising: non-personalized ads can still use cookies and similar technologies for purposes such as fraud prevention, frequency limits and reporting. When personalization is off, our ad requests disable personalization and restrict data processing. Google's consent message controls additional vendor, storage and purpose choices where required, and may limit which ads can be served. Our local preference does not replace that message or authorize storage without required consent.

Changing your choices reloads the page to apply your analytics and personalization settings. Turning optional uses off also attempts to remove first-party Analytics cookies. We cannot erase cookies owned by another domain; you can remove those in your browser. Withdrawal stops future optional use here and does not undo earlier processing.

See Google's explanation of data from partner sites and Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

We do not sell account details for money. Advertising disclosures can qualify as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under some privacy laws. The control below turns off optional Google analytics and ad personalization in this browser and requests restricted data processing for ads. Ads may still appear. We apply the same restrictions when your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, including when an earlier saved choice allowed personalization. A conventional Do Not Track signal is different and does not change these settings.

Who receives information

Our hosting infrastructure and self-hosted Supabase database and authentication service support the site. Cloudflare provides delivery and security; Resend delivers account, moderation and contact emails; and Google provides advertising, optional analytics and related consent services. Their access depends on the functions you use and your choices. Providers may process information in the United States and other countries.

For password breach checks, our server sends Have I Been Pwned only a short prefix of a password hash, not your password, email or the full hash. Anthropic helps generate summaries from public event facts and descriptions; the summary workflow does not send account credentials or private support messages. Information deliberately included in public event descriptions may be part of those facts.

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to meet legal obligations, respond to lawful process, protect people and the service, investigate misuse, or establish or defend legal claims. Information may also be reviewed or transferred in a merger, acquisition or similar business transaction, subject to applicable protections and notices. Public information and external ticket sites are described separately above and below.

Retention, deletion and security

Account information and saved favorites remain while your account is active. Account deletion removes your sign-in, profile and favorites and withdraws pending submissions. Approved listings remain, and submissions, reports and audit records can retain their content and security identifiers after their account link is removed. They are not necessarily anonymous.

Our scheduled cleanup makes rejected or withdrawn submissions and closed non-copyright reports eligible for deletion 90 days after closure. Routine account security logs are eligible after 12 months. Unused uploaded images are eligible once they are at least 90 days old and no event or submission uses them. Cleanup runs daily in limited batches, so processing a backlog or retrying a failed deletion can take longer. Historical closed records receive a new 90-day period when this cleanup system is introduced.

Published events, approved submissions, imported artwork, copyright reports, acceptance records and moderation evidence are outside that routine cleanup. Holds can preserve records for disputes, investigations or legal obligations. Support correspondence, provider records and server access logs follow separate processes and do not have a single automatic expiry period in this application.

Routine backups rotate separately from active data and are not immediately rewritten when you delete something. Recovery copies, provider logs and records subject to a legal preservation obligation may remain longer. When requesting deletion, identify any public listing or correspondence you also want reviewed. We assess what can be removed and any legally permitted retention exceptions.

We use measures such as encrypted transport, access controls, password hashing and verification for sensitive account changes. No service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your credentials private and report suspected misuse to us.

Your requests and applicable rights

You can edit profile details and request account deletion from your account. For access, correction, deletion, a copy of your information, or questions about a decision, email [email protected] with the subject “jax.events privacy request”, or use our contact form. Do not send passwords or identity documents with your initial request.

Depending on your location and whether the relevant law applies, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a portable copy, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, opt out of sale/sharing or targeted advertising, and appeal a denied request. An authorized agent may contact us, subject to verification of authority. We may need proportionate information to confirm your identity or locate records and will explain any refusal or permitted extension. We respond within applicable legal deadlines and do not discriminate for exercising applicable privacy rights. You may also complain to your state attorney general or relevant data-protection authority.

Where EU or UK data-protection law applies, our grounds depend on the activity: providing requested account services, legitimate interests in security and operating the calendar, legal obligations, and consent for optional uses where required. Consent can be withdrawn through these settings or by contacting us. International processing is subject to applicable transfer requirements; contact us about relevant safeguards. We do not use your information to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

Children and teenagers

The service is intended for a general audience, including adults finding family activities, and is not directed to children under 13. People under 13 must not create accounts or send personal information through our forms; a parent or guardian should act for them. Users aged 13–17 need a parent or guardian's permission for an account and should leave optional tools off. If you believe we received personal information from a child under 13, contact us so we can investigate and remove it as required. Event admission ages are set separately by organizers.

External sites and policy changes

Ticket sellers, venues, advertisers and linked sites operate under their own policies. A click may send information such as your IP address and referral information to that destination. We cannot control their collection or purchases.

We will update the date on this page when the policy changes. For material changes, we will provide a prominent notice or other notice required by law and obtain new consent where required before a new consent-based use. Contact Elektronic Group Inc. at the email above or use our contact form with questions.
