Content guidelines

jax.events lists public events in greater Jacksonville. Every submission is reviewed before it appears. To be approved, an event must:

• Take place in person in our area: Duval County and the Beaches, Ponte Vedra and Nocatee, or Orange Park and Fleming Island.
• Be open to the public, even if it needs a ticket or has an age limit.
• Have a real date, time and address, and a title and description that say what it is.
• Come from the organizer, the venue, or someone authorized to promote it.

Not allowed

• Spam, repeated duplicates, pyramid schemes, or ads for products and services dressed up as events.
• Hate, harassment, threats, or content that is sexually explicit or promotes violence or illegal activity.
• Flyers, photos or text you don't have the right to use.
• Personal information about other people, such as phone numbers or home addresses.
• Misleading prices, fake ticket links, or links to malware or phishing.

Editing and removal

We may shorten or correct a submission, change its category, or decline it, and we'll tell you why. Edits to a live event are reviewed again, and the current version stays up meanwhile. Accounts that repeatedly break these rules are suspended.
