Theatre Jacksonville presents Come From Away, the Tony-nominated musical by Irene Sankoff and David Hein about the true story of Gander, Newfoundland, which welcomed thousands of stranded travelers on September 11, 2001. When 38 planes were diverted to the remote town's airstrip, locals embraced the unexpected international visitors with music, hospitality, and generosity. This 2017 Drama Desk Award winner and 2019 Olivier Award recipient celebrates how a small community turned a crisis into a moment of global connection.
