Theatre Jacksonville stages Come From Away, the Tony-nominated musical about the true story of Gander, Newfoundland, where 38 planes carrying thousands of stranded passengers landed on September 11, 2001. The townspeople welcomed the unexpected guests with music, food, and hospitality, creating a story about human connection across cultures and language barriers. This 2017 Drama Desk Award winner and 2019 Olivier Award winner for Best New Musical celebrates compassion and global community.
