Theatre Jacksonville stages Come From Away, the Tony-winning musical about how the small town of Gander, Newfoundland welcomed thousands of stranded passengers after 38 planes were diverted there on September 11, 2001. With book, music, and lyrics by Irene Sankoff and David Hein, the show celebrates how locals overcame cultural and language barriers to help travelers with music, hospitality, and human kindness during an unprecedented international crisis.
