Photographers Bob Self and Malcolm Jackson join Carol Alexander, executive director of the A. L. Lewis Museum at American Beach, for a panel discussion exploring the history and cultural significance of this historic Black coastal community. Through photography, storytelling, and personal reflection, they examine how American Beach connects to larger narratives around land, leisure, resilience, and Black history. Self will discuss his photographic work and new book, while the panel addresses preserving the stories and landscapes of this 33-acre community from its origins to today.
