Jazz vocalist Samara Joy performs at Ponte Vedra Concert Hall, bringing her award-winning interpretations of standards and original compositions. A Bronx native and Grammy winner for Best Jazz Vocal Album, Joy studied at SUNY Purchase and won the 2019 Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition before breaking through with her Verve Records album Linger Awhile. Her latest album Portrait, co-produced with trumpeter Brian Lynch, showcases her intimate chemistry with her touring band and her work as a lyricist, blending her own words with compositions by Mingus, Sun Ra, and her late mentor Barry Harris.
