Ricky Skaggs, a 15-time Grammy Award winner who started on mandolin over 60 years ago, leads Kentucky Thunder through bluegrass and roots music at Ponte Vedra Concert Hall. The all-star ensemble features Russ Carson on banjo, Justus Ross on lead guitar, Troy Engle as vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, Gavin Kelso on bass, Mike Rogers on tenor vocals and rhythm guitar, and Billy Contreras on fiddle. Skaggs has spent his career moving between bluegrass, country, and roots revival while maintaining his musical foundation, backed by a group he says amazes him at every show.
