Design and build a soft sculpture of a fish or other animal in this hands-on mixed-media workshop led by local artist Melanie Berends. You'll draw on kraft paper, add layers of color and texture with tempera sticks, markers, inks, and cut paper, then assemble and stuff your creation with recycled plastic bags to make it three-dimensional. The class welcomes adults and teens (with an adult), teaching both construction techniques and sustainable art practices.
