Ragtime is a musical that weaves together three stories, an upper-class white family, a Black musician from Harlem, and a Jewish immigrant, to explore America at the turn of the 20th century, when industrial progress clashed with racial and class divides. Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens' lush score accompanies themes of justice, freedom, and the American Dream.
