GTM Research Reserve docents lead a half-mile beach walk where you'll learn about coastal animals, shells, dune flowers, and gopher tortoises while exploring the sand and shoreline. The guided Beaches 101 experience starts at the Visitor Center with a habitat overview, then moves to the beach for swimming, shell collecting, and wildlife spotting. Registration is required, and the reserve recommends bringing water, sunscreen, insect repellent, and binoculars.
