JD Simo and Luther Dickinson bring their Hill Country blues trio with drummer Adam Abrashoff to perform grooves from their 2024 album Do The Rump!, supported by Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears. Simo, a versatile guitarist who has worked with Phil Lesh and Beyoncé, combines psych-blues with Dickinson's slide guitar and Southern roots, while Abrashoff's deep-pocket drumming drives their swamp-stomper sound. Black Joe Lewis delivers raw, garage-inflected R&B and blues with his band, drawing from James Brown and old-school soul. This is a rare performance from a trio that plays only a handful of select dates each year.
